The luxury 5-Star Al-Andalus hotel train consists of Belle Epoque carriages that were all built in France between 1928 and 1930 and were originally used by the British Royal Family. Whilst they evoke the luxury and opulence of rail travel in that era, they have been sensitively restored to include modern conveniences which make them even more appealing to the passengers of today.

The fabulous on-board cuisine is served in the superb restaurant carriages, and the train lounges are especially designed for relaxation and enjoyment of the evocative ambience, also offering the chance of sharing the company of fellow travellers.

There is live music and entertainment on board after dinner each evening. Given the length of the train, this will not affect those who prefer retiring earlier to the privacy of their suite. You can also choose to have a quiet drink in one of the other saloon cars, or go for a stroll in whichever town the train is situated for the night. The train always remains at a station overnight, to ensure the best possible night’s rest for all passengers.

Grand Class cabins on board feature a private bathroom with shower, twin beds (lower berth), a wardrobe and storage space, individually-controlled air conditioning, complimentary slippers and bathrobes. Complimentary bottled water is provided throughout the journey.

Upgrades are available to a Deluxe Suite; these are slightly larger and offer a double bed, as well as larger en suite with hydromassage shower and steam sauna.

The bedding in each cabin converts to seating during the day, so guests can relax in their own private suite and watch the scenery go by if they prefer.
